Men Short Hairstyle

Men Short Hairstyle
A short, layered cut is easy to manage and control and suits most situations - whether the man is going out clubbing or attending a formal occasion, working a shift in an office, or is out playing sport. A hairstyle needs to be as flexible as the clothes in a man's wardrobe.

There are a number of variations of short hairstyles that men can have and still look great. The most common form is to have a medium fringe, with short hair at the back and lots of layering. For a hairstyle to look great it must suit the man's type of hair, color, and facial features. A good hairstyle should not highlight the face's strong features, but compliment them. Thin hair is best looking when slightly long and layered, whereas thick or curly hair is best kept shorter.

A number of guys start to lose hair at an early age. If this is the case then a short cut or crop is the only solution. Trying to hide the bald spot with other hair is a disaster and people will not be able to take you seriously, it may even end up having more attention drawn to it. For example many women find actors such as Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson incredibly sexy even though they have very little hair.

A lot of men use hair care products to maintain their short hairstyles. There are now a wealth of products on the market especially designed for guys such as mousse, gel and styling cream. If you add mousse to wet hair it can create a stylish wet look, whereas applying it to dry hair can give style and hold; the problem with mousse is that it is not very strong.

If you want a firm hold it is best to buy some gel. This will also help in conditioning the hair and maintain the required look all day long. When shopping for men's hair products it is better to choose a reputable brand as the cheaper options can actually damage your hair and scalp and cause dandruff and flaking.

If you are after a more of a coiffure look then you can try using a small amount of mousse on dry hair and then comb it neatly, then create a parting and comb the hair back on both sides. This will produce a fashionable but conservative appearance. Some guys prefer a more rugged appearance, for this wash your hair and towel dry it and then take some wet look gel and scrunch it up in various directions.

At the end of the day if you choose to have a short hairstyle you should stick with it. Make regular bookings with your stylist to maintain the appearance and look.
